Messaging (SMS) Terms & Opt-In

Effective: July 4, 2026  ·  Offworkr

This page explains the text-messaging (SMS) program operated through the Offworkr platform, and exactly how recipients consent to receive messages. Offworkr is a product of Prism Apps LLC.

1. Who sends, who receives, and why

Offworkr is a software platform used by small home-service businesses (for example HVAC, electrical, and plumbing companies). Each subscribing business uses Offworkr to send text messages, under its own name, to people who have called or are customers of that business. Offworkr does not send marketing to consumers on its own behalf; every message is sent by an individual business to its own callers and customers, and identifies that business by name.

Messages sent under this program are limited to: a link to finish booking after a call, appointment confirmations, and post-service review requests — all sent to the caller/customer who consented as described below. (Offworkr may separately notify a business owner about messages taken by their receptionist once a dedicated owner opt-in mechanism is live; that is not part of this messaging program until then.)

2. How end users opt in (consent)

End users are people who call a business that uses Offworkr's AI receptionist, or who are existing customers of that business. The single opt-in path:

  1. A person calls the business's published phone number — a consumer-initiated interaction.
  2. During that call, the business's AI receptionist asks the caller for explicit permission to text them, in words to this effect: “Would it be okay if I text you a link to finish booking?”
  3. A text is sent only if the caller affirmatively agrees, to the number the caller is calling from or a number they provide on the call. If the caller declines, no text is sent, and this has no effect on their ability to book with the business by phone.

No phone number is ever purchased, rented, or messaged without this consent. Opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, and are never used for third-party marketing.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on call and appointment activity for each business.

4. Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

5. Opt-out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all further messages from that sender. Reply HELP for help. You can also email [email protected].

6. Privacy and terms

How data is collected, used, and protected is described in our Privacy Policy (see the Text Messaging section), which states that no mobile information or opt-in consent is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Your use of the service is governed by our Terms of Service.
